Once you have signed-up to be baptized, you’ll be asked to attend two classes (held about 10 days and a few days before the celebration) that will cover some of the basics we’ve looked at in this guide.
Our baptism celebrations are held at WCC (inside in a pool for spring or outside in the pond for summer). When the baptism begins, one of the pastors will enter the water and welcome everyone. After briefly explaining what is happening, he will invite those being baptized into the water. Once you meet him in the water, he will ask you to answer some simple questions based on Romans 10:9-10, which says,
“For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”
He will ask:
—   “Do you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins?”
—   “Do you believe He rose from the dead on the third day?”
—   “Have you accepted Him as your Savior?”
If you answer “yes” to the questions, he will baptize you. Those watching will probably clap and shout. It’s a very cool experience.
