Course 2: Old Testament 2
Equipping the Church
Move further into the Old Testament, looking at the narrative of Abraham through the Kings and the Prophets. Learn more about God and His pursuit of people as the story of redemption unfolds.
Session 1 | Abraham: Faith
Presenter: Denny Wilson
We leave the first family (Adam and Eve) behind and jump forward several hundred years to a man named Abram (later renamed “Abraham”). The people of the earth had been destroyed by the great flood, and the earth was then re-populated by Noah and his family. Though the people of the earth wanted to stay in one place and achieve fame for themselves at the Tower of Babel, God scattered them by confusing their language.
Session 2 | Abraham-Promise Fulfilled
Presenter: Scott Nieveen
As we continued to look into the life of Abraham we see that God promised Abraham and Sarah a son. Much like us, they get impatient and try to take things into their own hands. This is not what God wanted; however, He keeps His promise of blessing them with their own son. We need to trust God’s timing and promises.

Session 8 | Israel's Unbelief
Presenter: Scott Nieveen
We round out our time in the Old Testament by exploring three significant themes: Israel’s cycle of faith and unbelief, the value of remembrance, and the gift of hope. Through all of this we see how God was (and is) always faithful, even when Israel was faithless.
