Christmas 2019

Saturday, December 21 – 4 and *5:45pm (children’s programming through age 3)
Sunday, December 22 – 9 and *10:45am (children’s programming through 6th grade)

*Spanish translation available during the 5:45pm and 10:45am service. (Traducción al español disponible durante el servicio de las 5:45pm y 10:45am. Pase por el Centro de Información para más detalles.)

Celebrate Christmas with us at one of our four candlelight services. Invite your family and friends via social media, through the WCC App, or pick up print invitations at the Info Center. You can even RSVP and invite others to a specific service through our Events listing on Facebook.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not meet at the WCC Main Campus for services on December 29 to allow volunteers and staff some time to rest and recharge before the new year. However, we will provide a service live online at 10am on Sunday, December 29.

World events and personal challenges continue to create anxiety and fear, which often catch us off guard, paralyze us, and rob us of hope and joy. As we approach the holidays, how can we regain our hope, and a steady feeling of peace amidst the frenzy and chaos? Although “Fear Not” is one of the most common statements in the Bible, maybe a healthy sense of fear is actually needed, or is it a larger view of God?

Join us for our Christmas series, Fear Not, as we look through the eyes of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds to discover how their healthy sense of fear led to a reassurance of peace, hope, love, and joy!

Join us in making a difference in our community and world. Check out some of these great opportunities for you, your family, friends, or small group to practically show the love of Jesus to the hurting this Christmas...

Care Fund Offering
through end of the year

WCC Care Fund Offering

Since 2006 we’ve received a special, above-and-beyond, offering that has raised nearly $2.7 million dollars (see PDF) to help our community, those hurting, and our missions partners. This year’s Care Fund offering will focus on three key areas:

  • Hardship – temporary help for those encountering tough times that may need assistance with a utility bill, medical bill, car or home repair, or even food.
  • Vulnerable Children – we’re partnering with agencies, schools, civic leaders, and specialists to help hurting children know they are loved, encouraged, cared for, and safe.
  • Missions – we are committed to reaching our community and world for Jesus Christ through our ministries partners and missions. Where the Gospel is planted, love and peace can bloom to change the world.

Please prayerfully consider giving to this special offering through the WCC App, online, or by using a Care Fund envelope (available at the Info Center). Although we'll receive this special offering during services on Sunday, December 15, you can give now through the end of the year via all the giving options previously mentioned.

PJ's & Bibles (PJ&B) Project
through Sunday, December 15

PJ's & Bibles (PJ&B) Project

Once again, we have the opportunity to bring joy to kids and families in our community this Christmas. Combined Community Services has asked us to provide pajamas and a Bible (PJ & B) for each child. Now through December 15, you can help kids go to bed warm and with God’s Word.

Purchase a set of pajamas and a Bible that corresponds to the size and age of your own children. If you don’t have any children, that’s okay, we’ll also need larger sizes as well (Youth XL – Adult Medium).

For guidance on what Bible to purchase, Sonlight recommends the following versions, which can be purchased for a discount at the table in the lobby:

  • Toddler - Preschool: The Beginner’s Bible
  • Preschool - Early Elementary: My First Hands-On Bible (NLT)
  • Middle - Later Elementary: The Hands-On Bible (NLT)

Please bring your PJ’s & Bibles back unwrapped by Sunday, December 15 to the drop off locations in the lobby or throughout Sonlight.

Please be sure to pray for the children that will receive these new pajamas and a Bible this Christmas, and thank you for partnering with us to Be The Church once again during our annual Sonlight Christmas offering project.

Fellowship Missions Stocking Stuffers
through December 16

Help make Christmas a little brighter this year for the residents of Fellowship Missions. The holidays can be an extremely tough time. While most of us are making memories with our family and friends, many residents are struggling with hopelessness, as they ponder their current circumstances. Help them feel noticed and loved this Christmas by contributing to Fellowship Missions Stocking Stuffers Gift Drive. Gift cards for the kids and essentials for the adults can go a long way. Sign up online to provide a specific gift. And, if you’d like to volunteer or provide food for the Christmas Eve and Day meals, contact Fellowship Missions.
