“In the beginning, the Creator made them male and female and said, ‘For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” | Matthew 19:4–6
Spending forever with your soulmate and becoming so entwined that you become “one” might sound romantic. But in reality, two people living together, each with different desires, goals, personalities, and preferences is more often than not a recipe for difficulties— not wedded bliss.
Join Mark and Jennifer Mitchell, local professional counselors, for “Two Becoming One,” a two-day marriage conference that focuses on the unique characteristic of oneness noted in Matthew 19:4–6. Mark and Jennifer bring together God’s design principles by using relationship-transforming tools and techniques backed by more than three decades of research. The conference is for couples of all ages in all stages of relationships whether engaged or married.
Come ready to learn, have fun, see the ways you are already winning in your relationship and gain the tools you need to grow stronger as a couple as you continue your journey to oneness.
About Mark and Jennifer
Mark and Jennifer Mitchell, both professional counselors, are committed to helping couples “do” marriage well. Their 21-year marriage began on a rocky path, so they began a quest to examine and live out God’s design for marriage. Not only did they save their marriage in the process, they developed a platform to help other couples enrich and nurture their marriages as well.
Mark and Jennifer, who both earned master’s degrees in counseling from Grace College’s Graduate School of Counseling, own Mitchell Counseling & Consulting, a faith-based private practice in Warsaw, where they help clients better understand and resolve challenges by recognizing and changing negative perceptions and unhealthy behaviors that prevent them from living fulfilling lives. Mark and Jennifer are the parents of a teenage son and daughter.
