Thru Global Missions

The Great Commission is a message that transcends time.  It is Jesus’ last words to His disciples. Important words. Directional words. They are our marching orders.
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  — Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)
At Warsaw Community Church, the Great Commission is the core of our vision. We seek to share God’s Good News in our neighborhoods, our communities, and to the far corners of the earth. We are all  called to make disciples, wherever we are. But reaching “all the nations” with God’s Word, making disciples, and carefully planting churches cross-culturally takes a special effort. This is the heart of what WCC calls "missions." And doing missions well requires the involvement of the whole church!

WCC seeks to raise up missionaries from our own congregation and send them into people groups that have never heard God’s story. We have built relationships with like-minded missionaries and ministries located all over the world. We actively serve our mission partners through ongoing relationship, prayer, and practical support. WCC also offers opportunities for our congregation to visit our partners, to see firsthand how God builds His church around the world, and to reflect Jesus’ love and compassion to those in desperate need.

WCC’s mission is the Great Commission. Join us as God works through us to make disciples — across the street and to the ends of the earth!

The Maleu Church/Least-reached Project
Gie, West New Britain, Papua New Guinea

The Maleu church in Gie/Aimola, Papua New Guinea is the fruit of God’s work through the ministry of Todd and Karen Gerst and their partners Matt and Angie Hall. After a time of relationship building, and language and culture study, Todd and Matt taught God’s Word to the villagers of Gie. They then meticulously translated the New Testament. The process was long, difficult and often painful, but over time, God grew a body of believers who, in turn, have reached out with the Good News of Jesus, planting 5 churches in the neighboring villages. Todd and Karen continue to champion the cause of sending missionaries into areas without access to the Gospel, including Chris and Evie Jones serving the Pei Tribe in PNG.
