On Aug. 20, 44 people, including 19 children, publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism during Sunday morning services at WCC. Two additional adults were baptized separately on Aug. 21 at Center Lake in Warsaw, Ind.

“I have been a Christian my whole life, but until recently, I have never fully understood Christ’s love and sacrifice for me,” said Evan McLaughlin, one of the adults baptized. “I felt God telling me to come back to Him, and this is where He led me.”

“After decades of following Jesus and serving in His church, I felt the call to humble myself, to stand with Jesus and obey Him by getting baptized and to give Him credit for all the ways He has shown up in my life,” said Jeff Baumann, another adult who was baptized.

WCC’s next baptism is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2024. Details and registration information will be released closer to that date.
