Media 7
Missions Partner
Shayne and Leda Shelburne Family | Tiranë, Albania
Leda Shelburne was following God’s call when she founded Media 7 International in 2001, the largest Albanian Christian radio network in the Balkan region. Seven million Albanians, who make up the only Muslim-majority ethnic group in the Balkan region, were deprived of hearing about God for more than 50 years. Today, more than 20 years after the fall of communism, the Albanian church is comprised of less than 0.5% of the population in a country that is 70% Muslim.
Media 7 stations offer evangelistic and spiritual growth materials developed by the ministry. Stations sometimes use clandestine methods to deliver the resources because of the threat of persecution. As first-generation believers in a former communist country that had its Christian heritage erased, Media 7’s work is crucial for the people and the future of Christianity in the region.
