WCC is now part of CarePortal, a network comprised of the Department of Child Services and local churches and schools that support the needs of vulnerable children and families in Kosciusko County. CarePortal is an easy-to-use nationwide platform used to connect children and families in crises with caring people who want to assist their neighbors in need.

The circle of care starts with a caseworker who identifies a high-impact need for a local child or family. The caseworker submits a request through CarePortal, which immediately notifies people from local churches who have signed up to be part of the network. These individuals then respond to the caseworker and work individually or as a church team to meet the need. Individuals who are part of the team receive notifications through the CarePortal website, app or by email.

Training is provided to all who sign up. To register to become part of the WCC CarePortal team:

  • Visit careportal.org.
  • Click on “Sign In.”
  • Choose “An Individual to Meet Needs,” and complete the fields.
  • Choose Warsaw Community Church when prompted.
