In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene Oct. 3rd, 2024, Warsaw Community Church (WCC) is partnering with World Compassion Network (WCN) to provide essential disaster relief to affected residents in the southeastern U.S.

The relief effort focuses on collecting crucial items such as laundry soap, portable heaters, and new blankets. Other needed donations should be new or very good condition rakes, shovels, cleaning supplies, tarps, chainsaws, generators, gloves, face masks, trash bags, gas cans, and storage containers with lids. WCC is also accepting personal items such as baby wipes, baby and adult diapers, granola/protein bars, feminine hygiene products, “pop-top” non-perishable foods, juice boxes, and baby formula.

Two trailers are stationed in WCC’s southeast parking lot for donation drop-offs. At this time, only the requested items can be accepted. For more information, contact info@wcnministries.org or call 574-551-4801.

This joint effort aims to help communities impacted by the widespread destruction, flooding, and loss of life across Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Helene’s deadly reach left many without homes or basic necessities, making local and national partnerships critical in the aftermath.

WCC’s mission, through collaboration with WCN, is to provide tangible assistance and hope to those who are struggling in the storm’s aftermath, and both appreciate all who are stepping in to help with the immense need.
