On July 29, WCC’s Community Care Helping Hands team supported Habitat for Humanity through a build project at Habitat’s Claypool, Ind. site. Eleven of the ministry’s volunteers completed outdoor decks for two single mothers that Saturday afternoon to provide outdoor space for the families to enjoy the warm weather. With the two decks completed, the team spent the rest of the day working on a storage shed for one of the mothers.

“The partnership of Helping Hands with Habitat for Humanity is really a twofold blessing,” said Jeff Pfeifer, WCC’s Pastor of Care Ministries. “Through the ministry, we are building temporary structures, but more importantly, we are pointing people to a permanent relationship with Jesus.”

The Helping Hands ministry’s workday is an example of WCC’s ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County. To learn more about the organization, visit kosciuskohabitat.org.
