Benevolence Committee and Benevolence Fund
Building Christ-centered Relationships
Benevolence is defined as “an act of kindness” or “a desire to do good.” Both of those definitions, however, only partially define the purpose of WCC’s Benevolence Committee, which was formed in August 2022. As members of the family of God, we are called to share the hope of the Gospel. We do this by pursuing Christ-centered relationships, praying and by loving and serving others as Christ has loved and served us. The WCC Benevolence Committee was formed to support the WCC church body as we live out this purpose.
WCC congregational and staff members can access the WCC Benevolence Fund on behalf of someone in need by submitting a request to the WCC Benevolence Committee. As an advocate for the potential recipient, this requires gathering information and documentation then presenting the request to the WCC Benevolence Committee. Committee members are available to prayerfully guide and coach advocates through the process. To initiate a request, send an email to wccbenevolence@warsaw.cc, or contact a committee member directly.
Benevolence Committee Mission
The mission of the WCC Benevolence Committee is to prayerfully advance God’s Kingdom by serving people within WCC and the surrounding community through Christ-centered relationships and short-term financial support for those in need.
